Search for Images

The Freebie Images Plugin allows you to search among hundreds of thousands of high quality stock photos, illustrations & vector files created by professional photographers and illustrators.

The images are licensed under CreativeCommons and provided by Crestock Stock Photos - a premiere image bank, so you can spend your time creating awesome content instead of wading through thousands of sub-standard images before you find that perfect image!

Known Bugs

  • Images disappearing: May happen when switching from Visual to HTML view before image is fully uploaded
  • Plugin does not show up in Plugin panel: Try manual FTP instead of WordPress Plugin upload functionality

Troubleshooting

The images were not uploaded to the '/wp-content/uploads/crestockimages/' directory due to the following:
  1. The php.ini was not configured to enable 'allow_url_fopen.'
    • Open the php.ini file and make sure that 'allow_url_fopen' is set to 'On.'
  2. There was no write access to the /wp-content/' directory.
    • Enable write permissions to the '/wp-content/' directory.
  3. The '/wp-content/uploads/crestockimages/' directory was not created or might have been deleted.
    • Manually create the said directory if it does not exist. This issue might also have resulted from number 2.
  4. The '(wpdb->prefix)crestocksavedimages' database table was not created or might have been dropped.
    • Check the database if the said table exists.
  5. There might have been an unstable internet connection when trying to save the image.
    • Try inserting the image to the post content again.

Help & Support

I suppose we could call this version a Public Beta. This means that even though we've done extensive testing on several different platforms, there may still be a bug here and there.

Obviously, we would very much like your constructive criticism and feedback so we can further improve what we think is a really great addition to WordPress. If you have a blog, you could even write a review and link it up here - we promise we'll read it all!

In any case - should you have any problems, please provide us with your WP install version, Browser version as well as error messages (if any). Or if you think it rocks, don't be afraid to let us know that either ;-)
